This handcrafted wooden race car is built around the body of a vintage hand plane, giving new purpose to a tool once used to shape wood. Carefully assembled from reclaimed hardwoods and complemented with salvaged metal components, the piece celebrates craftsmanship, ingenuity, and the beauty of transformation. otherwise go unused.
The streamlined body combines beech, spruce, and oak, while metal screws, washers, and a reclaimed furniture shock absorber create distinctive automotive-inspired details. Functional wooden wheels complete the design and rotate freely, adding a playful mechanical element to this sculptural object.
